What Is Kluck Kluck Salt?
The Story Behind Kluck Kluck Salt
It started with a simple idea from the other side of the world: Australian chicken salt. For generations, Aussies have been shaking chicken salt over hot chips, fries, chicken, vegetables and just about anything that could use a savory kick. Once we discovered the idea, we couldn't leave it alone. We wanted to take that unmistakable savory experience and build something of our own around it. And somewhere along the way, we discovered a word most of us were never taught: UMAMI.

βSo, What the Heck Is Umami?
Growing up, we learned about four basic tastes—sweet, salty, sour and bitter. But there's a fifth taste: umami. Umami is a Japanese word commonly translated as “pleasant savory taste” or simply “deliciousness.” It's the deep, mouthwatering flavor you recognize in things like roasted meats, aged cheeses, mushrooms, tomatoes and rich broths. You may never have known its name, but you've known the taste your entire life. It's that something that makes you take another bite. That savory richness that seems to make the other flavors taste bigger. That moment when your taste buds basically say: “Man, that's yummy.” That's umami.β

βWhere Kluck Kluck Comes In
And that's where the idea behind Kluck Kluck Salt really came alive. We took inspiration from Australian chicken salt and started experimenting—combining savory chicken flavor with herbs, spices, peppers, citrus, cheeses, mushrooms and other ingredients that could take that original concept in completely different directions. The result isn't simply another seasoning salt. Kluck Kluck Salt is our playground for umami. Some flavors are smoky. Some are spicy. Some are tangy, cheesy, garlicky, tropical or downright strange. But underneath them all is the same goal: create that deep savory sensation that makes food taste fuller, richer and more satisfying.
Sprinkle it on fries. Chicken. Burgers. Seafood. Vegetables. Eggs. Popcorn. Potatoes. Or whatever happens to be sitting in front of you.
β
Because sometimes the difference between “that's pretty good” and “where the cluck has this been all my life?” is something most of us were never taught to name.
